This is for real.  We all need to work together to make this happen.  Find out who is organizing in your area- so at least you’ll know who to contact when it comes time to sign the petition.  If we the people work together– we can take back our government from the greedy and corrupt.

Please share this information about this grassroots movement to all your friends, family, and co-workers.  We need to spread the word.

Blowin’ in the Wind

It’s been clear for a while now, that the United States is in need of a real change– From the Occupy Movement to the growing Tea Party and Libertarian Party– people across the country are frustrated.  Election after election though– and nothing seems to actually be getting better.  Why?

One of the big reasons that is discussed is the money in politics.  We hear about corporations and lobbyists controlling our government- buying our (the people’s) representatives.  So– what can we do about when we clearly don’t have the funds to “buy” them back.

Well, one thing we can do is use article 5 to induce the state leaders to call a convention and ratify our constitution to impose term limits on the U.S. Congress.  How does this take power away from lobbyists?   —  “It takes years for lobbyists to earn the trust of Congressional members.”  By limiting the time they can serve- it makes it much more difficult for them to find the worth in being “bought” and it makes it much less worthwhile of an investment for the corporations and lobbyists.

So– Now is the time.  Check us out on facebook-

Join up with your state or local area to help out.  If we can all come together on this nonpartisan issue- we might have a real chance to make a huge difference in how our overall government runs.

Another Day

Another day,  another chance to get informed, and get on board.

Are you tired of way the federal government has been running?  Are you frustrated with the politicians?  Do you feel like your voice doesn’t matter–maybe because CONGRESS is essentially being bought and paid for by CORPORATIONS and a few lobbyist groups?

This is the time to finally stand-up to government and remind them who they should be working for.

Term Limits For Congress– is an opportunity to break the cycle.  It’s a chance to promote larger turn over in the House and Senate and therefore make it more difficult for the corporations to buy them, or for the lobbyist groups to bribe them.

In Need of Lead-ers

Currently some states are still missing a state lead- (latest update- may not be fully accurate)

Idaho
Wyoming
Colorado
Nebraska
South Dakota
North Dakota
Michigan
Maine
Vermont
New Hampshire
Rhode Island
Delaware
Alaska

New Mexico, Tennessee, and Wisconsin- had state leads, but may need someone else to now step up to the plate.

Within all the states- there are many counties still in need of leads.

For this to work- it is going to require a lot of organization, which means people willing to step up and help and organize and lead.

What is this?

Term Limits for Congress began as a small movement, which is still growing, to use Article 5 as the method in which to impose term limits on Congress.  Currently, the president has a 2 term limit, which totals eight years.  This wasn’t always the case, but was decided and altered accordingly. (Passed Congress 1947, ratified 1951).  It is now time to remove the career from congress- and return it to a state of service for the people.

The proposed amendment would institute a 12 year limit on members of Congress.  This would mean they could serve 2 terms in the Senate, or up to 6 terms in the House, or any combination there of.

We will begin petitioning on May 26th- Memorial Day! In all 50 States.
